Bideford, Devon Monkleigh House, Bideford, Devon, England UK A warm welcome awaits you at Monkleigh House, a lovely Georgian family house set within almost 2 acres of beautiful gardens. North Devon has a beautiful rugged coastline and both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy travelling distance. Local attractions include Dartington Crystal and the Royal Horticultural Society’s Rosemoor Gardens, the Tarka-Trail cycle path and the sandy beach at Westward Ho! Hartland Abbey, Tapely Park and family attractions The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. We have two large, comfortable, double/twin rooms, equipped with TV, hair-drier and bathrobes. Both rooms can also accommodate an additional guest bed and one can accommodate 2. One bathroom features the original cast iron bath and a separate power-shower, the other has a spa bath. Guests have private use of an elegant sitting room and dining room. Complimentary tea and coffee is always available. Homemade Devon cream teas are served in the gardens and the village Inn serving traditional home-cooked food is just 150m away. Children are welcome and a cot or ‘guest bed’ and high chair are available. There is a play area in the gardens and baby-sitting can be arranged in the evenings.
