Tusson, Charente Maison Berger, Tusson, Charente, France TRY THE CHARENT EXPERIENCE Location - Our house lies between the historic towns of Ruffec (on the N10 and Aigre on the D736). They are historic market towns with many facilities are around, excellent restaurants, fishing, kayaking, tennis, riding, biking, walking, golf and the Angouleme Nautilus Water World (within half an hour of our house). We are very well located for the 1 and a half hour journey to the coast: La Rochelle, Royan, La Palmyre Zoo, (which is a MUST)!, Cognac (visits to the distilleries, the local Pineau is another MUST)!. Bordeaux can be easily reached by car or train. Limoges is just an hour away and Poitiers also both very handy for flights. We are two hours from the fabulous wine regions of St. Emilion and the Medoc regions. Situation - Our large family home is situated in the middle of the medievale village of TUSSON, next to Abbey grounds, and has a walled garden with swimmingpool (being added this year), which gives secure car parking, tranquility and privacy. A WARM WELCOME awaits you and an excellent bar/restaurant is just around the corner, plus the village general store. Two double bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin. A third bedroom with single beds is just a few extra paces down the corridor. We can accommodate 8 person for B & B. TUSSON has 2 museums an archeological dig, herb garden, floral walk, courses in masonery, leaded stained glass ware and others.
