St Lo, Normandy Les Haies, St Lo, Normandy, France Set in 3 hectares of private land on the Calvados Manche border, on the first floor, we have available 2 freshly decorated good sized rooms both having superb views. There is a newly decorated shower and toilet immediately opposite the rooms. We have a few pets including 3 dressage horses and a lovely small pony which a child may adopt during the holiday. The area is very convenient for numerous activities. The bird watching is superb around our property and in the nearby forest of Cerisy. There are also great cycle and walking routes. The trout and course fishing is available on local lakes and rivers less than a mle away D day museums and beaches such as Omaha, Bayeux and the tapestry,the souterroscope of Caumont l'Eventé and castles are less than half an hour away. The local markets are intersting for shopping. In the evening you may wish to walk around our meadows and look out for the buzzards, kestrels, barn owl or deer and pick up a few wild strawberries. It is a comfortable home set in an extraordinary environment. We love it here and will do our best to help you enjoy your holiday. We are aware of the credit crunch and have reduced our prices and kept them in pounds. We can suggest many great free or cheap activities. Please ask if you wish to share our kitchen to save on too many restaurant bills. Ferry : Less than 1 hour from Caen and just a little more from Cherbourg both of which are available from Brittany Ferries. French tuition available on site during and outside term times.
