Local attractions include Chawton (Jane Austen), Selborne (Gilbert White) and The Watercress Steam Railway. Winchetser is a 30 minute drive away. South Coast Ferry Ports and both Heathrow and Gatwick airports are within easy reach. There is excellent walking from the house across farmland and woods via footpaths.
