As its name implies, Canyon Crest Lodge sits near the edge of Martinez Canyon 7400 ft above sea level with the magnificent views of Pagosa Peak and the Great Divide to the north. The beautiful valley of Pagosa to the south and the magical archaeological site of Chimney Rock to the west. Tall pine trees cover the glorious 35 acres of mountainous rocky terrain and one cannot imagine the thrill of watching a herd of Deer or Elk grazing in their natural habitat or to observe the soaring of Eagles above the canyon. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed whilst relaxing on the spacious decks. Canyon Crest was built entirely by its English owners who are proud of their achievement and will be happy to share the secrets of the "Traditional English Rock Structure" with 18" thick walls. The local people here in Pagosa refer to the house as the "Englishman’s Castle" therefore the suites are named after famous British castles. Romantic and secluded. |
