Fontrabiouse, Pyrenees Orientales Chambre d'Hote, Fontrabiouse, Pyrenees Orientales, France Our Chambre d'Hote is based in the unspoiled hamlet of Espousouille, high on the slopes of the Mediterranean Pyrenees (the sunniest place in France). It is surrounded by beautiful forests and meadows of the picturesque Valle de Galba. The property is a traditional 18thC Catalan farmhouse that has been refurbished to provide very comfortable, spacious accommodation with private facilities. There is a guests lounge and large private roof terrace with BBQ. We also offer evening meals and pride ourselves on our home prepared cuisine. Espousouille is recognised as the ideal starting point for many mountain activities in the area. A few yards from our door are GR footpaths bike routes, Nordic Ski trails and snow-shoeing in winter and the ski runs of Formigučres and Puyvalador are behind the village. Rafting, sailing, para-gliding, climbing and quad biking can also be arranged. Your host, Simon, is a European Mountain Leader and will be happy to advise you. |
